Are you learning to speak English? Would you like to practice your English speaking skills?

From September through May, come and be a part of our free, friendly conversation circles and meet new friends, talk about your community, culture and customs.

Conversation circles let people whose first language is not English practice and improve their English in a friendly and encouraging setting. You can talk with native English speakers and gain confidence in speaking English.

The groups are run by an experienced group of friendly volunteers from Cedar Creek Community Church. It is a drop-in program with no registration required. It is free to attend.  Come whenever you can, for as long as you can.

The circles run every week from September until May at four Idea Exchange locations: Clemens Mill, Queen's Square, Hespeler and Preston. They do not meet in June, July and August and take a break over the Christmas holidays. Here are the days and start times:

This program is a partnership between Connecting the Cultures, Idea Exchange, and YMCA Immigrant Services.

For more information, please contact the circle coordinators, Wayne and Cheryl Warner at 519.624.2035.

My students at Conestoga LINC program would like to try the conversation circles because they need to practise speaking and listening, and make friends. We just read online about them and most of the students didn't know about them before. Thank you for the information!! See you at the library!
