Your Idea Exchange membership card can now take you even further afield - borrow a Region of Waterloo Museums Family Pass. By checking out our new museum pass, available at all Idea Exchange locations, you can investigate Region of Waterloo Museums free of charge. Explore the Waterloo Region Museum and see the bicycle that Canadian daredevil Professor Jenkins rode over Niagara Falls. Visit Doon Heritage Village, a living history museum, or find out about the Mennonite way of life at the Joseph Schneider Haus. A reminder, there is no charge for entry at McDougall Cottage in Cambridge.
Here’s how to use your pass. Passes may be checked out with a valid Idea Exchange membership card (it comes with a lanyard in a DVD case) for seven days. You can put a hold on it, but you can’t renew it. There’s a $0.30 per day overdue charge. Passes are not valid for ticketed events, workshops or school programs. With passes like this one, it’s easy to discover local at Idea Exchange.
