Founded by Maggie Keswick Jencks and located throughout the UK, Maggie’s Centres apply design thinking to the challenges of patients undergoing cancer treatment. Over 17 centres have been commissioned from internationally renowned architects in collaboration with contemporary landscape architects as a new model for personal cancer care – where essential human needs such as social gatherings, private contemplation and gardens are introduced into the daily lives of patients.
Explore five of these bright and unorthodox facilities designed by Frank Gehry, Piers Gough, Steven Holl, Rem Koolhaus and Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners .
This exhibition is organized by the New York School of Interior Design with additional content provided by the Carnegie Museum of Art.
Frames for the exhibition have been provided by J. Pocker.
Upholstered seating and case goods provided by Krug Healthcare Solutions.
