Shuyu Lu stitched these chubby Chinese kids with typical Western fast foods onto the toile and make them fit the scenes.  They are from the old-time Chinese propaganda, holding the flowers and representing the future and the hope of the country originally. The harmonious but a little awkward scenes intend to allude to the “global village” today. Her work attempts to question – in this complex, excited and globalized world today – what our treasure is and what we should treasure.
