Children are welcome to attend a special Pajama Tales storytime in the children’s department from 7:00 – 7:30pm.

March 27, Seed Saving with Bob Wildfong from Seeds of Diversity

Learn how to save your own flower, vegetable, and herb seeds. Bob Wildfong, Horticultural Specialist at the Region of Waterloo Museums and Executive Director of Seeds of Diversity Canada will lead you through all the steps of harvesting, drying, and storing seeds for successful home seed saving.

April 24, What To Do with Honey with local beekeeper Anne Williamson

We all know honey tastes good on toast and helps make the medicine go down but what else can you do with honey? Join local beekeeper Anne Williamson to discover many of the uses and benefits of honey.

May 29, Culinary and Medicinal Herbs with Ann Lanigan from Simpler Thyme Organic Farm

Come meet a local organic farmer and discuss how to grow or optimize a garden full of herbs for your health and for your taste buds.  From choosing herbs, seeding, growing, harvesting, drying and using, Ann Lanigan from Simpler Thyme Organic Farm will be a resource for all your herb questions.

June 26, Community Gardens & Growing Local Food for Donation with Siobhan Bonisteel from the Preston Community Garden

Join Siobhan Bonisteel from the Preston Community Garden, the Food Bank Community Garden at Rare Charitable Research Reserve and the Preston Towne Farmers' Market, to discuss Community Gardens in Cambridge and their role in local food donations. Topics such as gleaning and local food partnerships will also be discussed.
