Summer has arrived! It’s time to kick back, relax, and enjoy some amazing programming at your local Idea Exchange. While you might be slowing down for the summer, Idea Exchange has a full line-up of fun events for the whole family to experience!

On Friday, July 7 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm at Queen’s Square, our Virtual Reality Gaming Lounge will be available for kids ages 8 and up, teens and adults to enjoy and explore. Needing to revive and rejuvenate your senses? Beginning on July 12, the Preston library will host a weekly Wednesday night Benjue Meditation session for adult participants. Taking place from 6:30 – 8:00 pm for six weeks, this class will provide an opportunity for participants to use movement of the body to generate self-awareness. Check out our website for more information and to register.

CTAL (Cambridge Third Age Learning) presents another exciting learning experience this month with a lecture titled, “Humour as a Tool for Optimizing Good Health,” presented by Dr. Kenneth Shonk. Taking place on Thursday, July 13, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Trillium United Church, this engaging discussion will be sure to inspire, and keep you laughing! Register today!

Have you ever wondered what types of secrets and surprises could be hiding in the branches of your family tree? On Monday, July 24 at 7:00 pm, Idea Exchange Preston is offering a free workshop,  “Ancestry.ca For Beginners,” which will introduce participants to Ancestry Library edition, covering how to navigate the software, organize research, and interact through online forums.
