March is one of the main in-between months of the year; it is the month that is no longer winter but not yet spring, it is the month that has to pick up the pieces of every broken resolution and it is the month that everyone seems to forget. Rather than allowing March to fly by this year, I believe it is the perfect month to take some time to yourself before things get busy again and the process of mindfulness is one of the ways that can be done. Mindfulness is meant to create and maintain complete awareness of feelings, thoughts, sensations and the world around you. It is made up of the idea of accepting yourself and moving on, focusing on the moments outside of yourself in order to fulfill a better life and a clear mind. Mindfulness is a way to relieve stress and to positively experience each day.

One day, just set aside some time and attempt to focus on the current issues you are dealing with; allow yourself to welcome these problems and then move on to focus on solving what you can do, rather than what you can’t do. However, mindfulness takes time and practice and needs to be used consistently in order to weave its way into our lives, making March the perfect time to start. Use this time of peace to acknowledge your failures and consider the stresses to come then learn to accept; things will only get better from here.
