Computers are available for the public to use at all Idea Exchange library locations.
Public Computers at Clemens Mill, Hespeler, Preston, and Queen’s Square:
All workstations have internet access as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and an Image Editor installed. To use a public computer, bring your membership card or internet access card to the location of your choice, and reserve the next available computer at one of our booking stations. No card? No problem. Use an express terminal which offers a 20 minute session on a first come, first served basis.
Public Laptops at the Old Post Office:
Borrow a laptop to use while at the Old Post Office. Laptops may not be taken from the building. The loan period is an hour but your session will keep extending if no one is waiting. To sign one out, bring your library card in good standing to the Member Services desk at the Old Post Office. All laptops have internet access as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Access; Audacity; Blendr; Cubicreator; GDevelop; GIMP; Inkscape; and Sculptris.
