Due to the extended closure, Idea Exchange has had to make the difficult decision to suspend placing new holds on physical items. All current holds will remain on accounts until we reopen. You can still continue to place holds on items in Overdrive and access our online articles through the catalogue. Placing new holds on physical items will resume one week before we re-open so you can begin placing holds on all of the items you’ve been waiting to read, watch or listen.
Even though you can’t place a hold now on your account, you can create lists and save those items to “My Lists” on your account. Save lists with different subjects such as “cookbooks”; “new fiction”; “to read”. When the library reopens, you can then place holds on these items directly from your My Lists.
Here is a step by step guide on how to use and create My Lists.
While we are closed, there’s still so much available to learn, read and stream free through our many online resources. Download ebooks and audiobooks, stream video with Kanopy, or learn a new skill with Gale Courses or Lynda.com.
