Cambridge Art Galleries and Idea Exchange are honoured to support and host The Cambridge Poppy Project (www.cambridgepoppyproject.ca). This is a community art project of Remembrance that will be created using hand-knit and crocheted poppies. The project aims to collect 10,000 poppies to recognize and honour our area Veterans and military personnel serving our country. Community members are invited to participate by knitting or crocheting a poppy using these patterns.
Knitted and crocheted poppies will be displayed on the interior and exterior of Queen's Square, and on the exterior of Hespeler and Preston locations.
Idea Exchange's five locations are drop-off points for completed poppies. During curbside-only service, poppies can be placed in the drop boxes at Queen's Square, Clemens Mill, Hespeler, and Preston.
Coming soon: Take & Make kits including yarn and patterns! Stay tuned for more information and release dates!
