Young Interpreters

Calling all young creatives! Bring your big people and join us in the gallery for a family friendly tour of our latest exhibition. After, we will roll out the Art Cart for a hands-on activity that builds on the themes on the show. Free

Basics of Photography SLR (Film or Digital)

Mondays, January 13 – February 10, 7:30 – 9:45pm, QS

Learn the basics of good photography through the traditional study of automatic and manual controls, focus, exposure, shutter speed, aperture, flash work and camera care. Equipment needed: Single Lens Reflex (SLR) or Mirrorless Interchangeable-Lens camera. Registration is required. $90 + HST

Dream Catcher Workshop

Saturday, January 18, 2:00 – 4:00pm, QS

Guided by a local Indigenous Keeper, making your own dream catcher to take home. Dream catchers are spider mother medicine. They teach us about how we weave our web of life. Come explore these teachings and discover more about yourself. Registration is required. $40 + HST

Fancy up your walls with a unique wall tapestry you made yourself! Registration is required. $42 + HST

ART ACCESS: Printmaking – Pick, Stick, and Stamp

Sunday, January 26, 1:30 – 3:30pm, CM

Adventurous artists of all ages, skill levels, and backgrounds are invited to try their hand at printmaking. Use collage to build a tile from the different shapes and textured materials provided. Then, experiment with colour and repetition to create your own unique printed designs. This program is part of Art Access, a free art making workshop series led by local professional artists. This program offers creative space for diverse voices, experimentation, and fun within art-making.
