Canadian metalsmith, Aggie Beynon graduated with her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Waterloo in 1975 and continued on to get her fine arts degree while living in Kansas in the early 1980s. Her work has been shown and sold in more than 200 galleries, museums and shops around the world. In 1999, she was named Oktoberfest Woman of the Year in the Literature/Art Category, and in 2002 she was honoured with the prestigious John Mather Award from the Ontario Crafts Council. Beynon was honoured with a 20-year retrospective of her art in 2005 at Wilfrid Laurier University’s Robert Langen Art Gallery. She was inducted into the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts in 2007.
