Barbara has been creating unique tapestries in needlepoint and crochet since becoming fascinated with traditional English church kneelers and cushions in the early 1970's. Always creating, Barbara blends traditional techniques with contemporary concepts.
Barbara holds a BA in Fine Art from the State University of New York, as well as an Art Specialist Certificate. Her work has been purchased for the permanent collections of the Cambridge Galleries, and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador. In 2007 Barbara received the First Juror's Award at the Cambridge Centre for the Arts annual juried exhibition.
Born in Galt, Ontario in 1937, Barbara lived away for many years and returned to Cambridge in 2003. Since then she continues to be very active in both the Cambridge Arts scene and with the Mill Race Folk Society.
