Emily Filler was born in Ottawa, Ontario in 1982. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours from Queen's University in 2005. She started to draw and paint at an early age and was greatly influenced as a child by her frequent visits to her father's gallery in Ottawa.
Emily's work has been exhibited in Toronto, ON; Ottawa, ON; Montreal, QC; Calgary, AB; Moncton, NB; Kelowna, BC and Baie-St-Paul, QC. Her work has been featured in a variety of publications including The Globe and Mail, The National Post, The Toronto Star, House and Home Magazine, The Ottawa Citizen, and the Queen's Alumni Magazine. Her paintings have also been featured on a variety of television programs including Cityline and in the movie Man of the Year with Robin Williams.
Emily is now painting in Toronto at her studio in The Distillery District.
