Robin Morey's quilts have been displayed at the Art Gallery of Windsor, MacKenzie Hall, and the Essex County Board of Education. Morey served in the US Women’s Army Corps during World War II before studying sculpture at the John Herron Art Institute in Indianapolis and the Black Mountain College in North Carolina. She then went on to graduate from the University of Windsor in 1992 with a BA in English. Morey has been quilting since the 1950's but began to devote her attention fully to quilting in the 1970's. She began by creating utilitarian quilts used on beds, but graduated to more challenging and creative pieces by inventing new techniques to manipulate fabric.
