Wendy Cain was born in Cornwall, Ontario and graduated from the Ontario College of Art in 1974. Her artistic work involves screen printing, hand papermaking, papermaking and pulp painting. She was a recipient of an Ontario Arts Council grant and in 2005 was a Jurors’ Choice at the Organization of Kingston Women Artists. Since 1972, she has had numerous solo exhibitions and has participated in many group exhibitions across Canada, New Zealand, Japan, Holland, England and United States. She opened a paper studio in Newburgh, Ontario, and she has taught printmaking and papermaking at the Ontario College of Art. Her work is found in public and private collections including the Toronto Dominion Bank, the Lynnwood Art Centre, the National Library of Canada, and the Bank of Canada.
