In 2012 Canadian Art Foundation released a great short film about Canadian artists working in textiles.  It was created by Canadian Art School which posts some very cool things going on in the art scene.  We thought we'd share this little gem with you as it speaks broadly and eloquently to the nature of working in textiles while navigating the culture of contemporary art.  And, two of the artists, Kai Chan and Lyn Carter, profiled in the film are well represented in our collection.  You can see Lyn Carter's Beacon at our main location in Cambridge. If you do get to the Canadian Art School page, you can also find an interview with Lyn.  Well worth a read.
