Over the last several years, an influx of new stores are opening their doors in the Main Street area.  Bring a revitalized feel to this downtown core.  A recent addition is Encore Threads & Treasures, the area’s children’s store at 60 Main St with the entrance off Ainslie St.  Bruce & Angelica are the husband and wife owners of the business that combines an environmental awareness with a focus on customer service in this boutique styled store.  As parents of four children they have curated this store with new and pre-loved items.

They choose the name Encore as it embodies the idea of a demand for repetition.  As such the core of their business focuses on offering a second life for pre-loved quality clothes, books and toys.  All of these items go through a Trade, Grade & Score Program before being offered in store.  To participate in this program, contact Encore at 226-887-0620 or through their social media @encorethreadsandtreasures (Facebook & Instagram) to arrange to Trade in items.  The items will be Graded for their re-salability and Scored for cash or store credit.

Encore has several new item lines that have been curated for their environmental or small business focus.  Sunny Little Minds have a line of organic play kits including natural play dough; and Little Blue Fern’s teething and dishware items are just two examples of small Ontario businesses that appear on the Encore shelves. Elou is a toy company from Portugal whose products are cork based.  All toy lines have been chosen to encourage interactive play and engage imagination.

Encore has been hard at work with their small business suppliers to bring seasonal delights to the store including some Halloween based play kits available now in the store!
