Eric simultaneously exudes “rock star” while somehow managing to be one of the nicest people you will meet. It may sound like an odd combo, but it’s true and he wears it well. I first met Eric three years ago when I started at Idea Exchange. He had already been a key partner with our organization for years with our Music is My Weapon program. I was struck immediately by his passion for music, not only his own, but also for others in the community.
Eric is a tireless promoter for the arts and small businesses in Cambridge. He is the force behind the popular #GaltLove movement that encourages people to support downtown Galt businesses through social media campaigns and live events. Eric can relate being the owner of two small businesses himself.
Iris Arts stocks locally handmade products from a variety of artists including pottery, jewelry, paper products, candles, paintings, and more. It is a go-to spot for special gifts and fun finds for the home.
E-Bolt Music provides music lessons and a recording studio, an organizer for live music events in Cambridge, a rehearsal space, and a mini store. Try some music lessons with one of their 15 talented instructors in guitar, piano, drums, voice, violin, bass, ukulele, mandolin, banjo, flute or ear training.
As if he wasn’t busy enough, Eric can frequently be seen performing at venues (pre-COVID) and virtual events all over either as a solo artist or with his awesome band Shy Harry. You can check him out in our Music on the Grand event happening Thursday, July 23 at 7:00pm. Tune into our Facebook page to watch Eric and other local musicians perform in a celebration of our local talent. You can read more about the event ahead of the performance in a few weeks.
Can’t wait until then? Check out Eric as the lead vocalist and guitars for Shy Harry in their latest video.
