Are you looking for something new to read, watch or listen to? We can help! Let us take care of you and hand select some recommended materials that you are sure to enjoy this winter. We can gather books, audiobooks, movies, and music and you’ll receive a notification as soon as they are ready for pick up.

Simply fill out a Personalized Picks form—to give us a few details of what type of items you are looking for. For example, if you love country music, or romantic films, biographies, or uplifting fiction, this will help us when we gather items for you.

If you need items for your children, we can gather these too. We have picture books, board books, easy readers, education kits, audiobooks, movies, and music for them to enjoy! Just let us know the age range, and some of their interests (favourite characters, shows or topics) and how many items you would like, and we’d be happy to get those ready for you.

After you’ve sent in your form, all you have to do is wait for notification that your items are ready for pick up at your chosen Idea Exchange location, and that’s it!

We hope to hear from you soon!

First, I must congratulate the Idea Exchange (IE) on the efficient check-out and return computer program, along with the 3 day reminder-emails. Online searches and ordering are simple to use. The program works extremely well for the benefit of all users. This system is made possible by the use of computers, amazing tools that make many programs automatic through well thought-out software programs.
I would like to suggest that the computer program be extended due to the current pandemic. I would like to suggest that IE issue a monthly list of all new titles now on offer, and extend the list to the first of the calendar year. Normally, folks such as myself need to visit the IE to see what's on offer on various shelves through out the facility. With Covid-19 and restricting public access, one is not always aware of "what's new and available." I would also like to suggest that IE consider a listing of all biographies (or any other grouping) currently available through out the complete system. While a search of the IE catalogue is possible, I believe an alternate, complete listing would be of value as opposed to a search when one is not sure of a proper name of the book or the name of the author. Respectfully submitted, Don Fanstone

Hi Don, thank you for your kind words! We do keep track of all new books coming into our library system, a list that can be found here:
This list is updated weekly, & we break it down by genre/subject. For example, under Non-Fiction, you will find a link for "New in Biographies." If you have a favourite genre, you can see the new arrivals for it too. For example, under Fiction, you will find a link for "New in Mystery." You can also see what we have added to our other collections, such as movies, music, and large print, among others.
Alternatively, you can search our catalogue by topic as well. If you type "biography" into the catalogue search bar, everything in our catalogue categorized as such will come up, and then you can narrow down your search using the filters on the left hand side of the page.
I hope this information is helpful!
