So I’m learning how to play Minecraft at 43 years old - who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks! Why would I do this to myself you ask? Well, I want to engage with the kids that come through our doors, my 7-year-old loves it, and I love a challenge. 

Here’s some pointers to get going on the Minecraft train:

  1. Sign up for a free account. Having trouble doing this as I did? Get your child involved!
  2. Put MineCraft for Dummies on hold with your membership card.
  3. Ask your children for help after you have done steps 1 & 2. Be prepared - they will be fast and wonder why you can’t keep up!

The great thing about learning how to create worlds in Minecraft is that you learn a new skill while spending quality time with your kids.
