Spring is such a wonderful time of year when little green buds start to peek through the snow and in a short time all the white is transformed to a blanket of colour. Have you ever planted a seed and watched it grow? For kids (and adults too!) it can be magic to see a tiny bud appear from a seed placed in the dirt. And then to watch that bud grow and stretch, produce a beautiful flower to smell, or a bean to eat. Seed planting with kids is a fun opportunity for them to learn new skills and to explore science and nature.
If you are looking to plant seeds then come check out the new Idea Exchange, Preston Seed Library. This fantastic resource is a free seed lending library accessible to everyone. Our seed library cabinet is filled with flower, vegetable and herb seed packets and you are welcome to take as many as you will use. If you have success in your garden we hope you will save some of your seeds and donate back to the seed library. So, come check us out and bring a little magic home to plant with you today.
