It’s been a cold winter and we’re all looking forward to spring! When March Break is over we start planning for our Children’s Spring Programs here at Idea Exchange.
At Queen’s Square we are thrilled that our “Doggy Tales” Program will be back Wednesdays at 4:00pm with the dogs and their handlers from the St. John’s Ambulance Therapy Dogs Program. If you have a reluctant reader who loves animals it’s a great program to register your school-aged child for; they can practice their reading with a furry friend and do other fun-filled activities.
Our Preston location is excited to have drop-in STEAM for Tots on Fridays from 10:30 to 11:30am, a flexible program with new STEAM experiences every week (STEAM = Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math/Movement). Also Preston will have a gardening program for tweens, Ready, Set Grow: Tween Garden Club from 4:00 to 4:30pm on Tuesdays that will introduce tweens to growing.
ArtVibe, is a drop-in program at our Clemens Mill location, Tuesdays from 4:00 to 5:00pm. It is an art/craft program offering some challenging artistic projects for kids 10 and up.
STEAM for Tots is an all-ages drop-in program at the Hespeler branch, Mondays and Thursdays from 10:00 to 11:00am. Enjoy songs, stories, steam stations and a craft with your child.
Each location will also have activities for the PD Days on April 13 and May 4th. So now that the sun is shining, Idea Exchange has plenty of reasons for you to get outdoors and enjoy!
