  • Summer Reading at Idea Exchange

Roberta, Queen's Square | July 1, 2019

As a parent, summer has always been a mixed bag of emotions. While I love that I do not have to get up and pack lunches, the thought of two months without structure, and planning fun activities without breaking the bank is overwhelming.

Idea Exchange makes it easy! Most children’s programs are drop-in, no registration required, no charge, and often if you miss a Summer Surprise at one Idea Exchange location you can catch it at another location later in the summer.

At the Kick-Off Parties everyone will enjoy exciting activities and games. Kids can begin their Summer Reading Club adventure and earn opportunities to win fabulous prizes. This year our Old Post Office location has a distinct way to play the Summer Reading Club. Drop by and check it out.

Each week brings-on more fun, including live entertainment. Catch the Barry O’Show for a truly magical and entertaining act, dance and sing along with Erik Traplin, and flock together with your favorite pals for Jock Flock and The Greatest Bird Show on Earth.

The weekly programs at each location bring laughter and fun for all ages. Enjoy programming in Preston’s beautiful children’s community garden, join story time fun at the Hespeler Market, discover wonderous and creative tech play at the Old Post Office, or expand your mind at Clemens Mill with a virtual reality experience.
