Starting school can be a very exciting time but also a little scary.

Idea Exchange is here to help you get ready for the big day!

Kanopy Kids is the place to find some great stories and movies about school.

My favourites are: Franklin Goes to School, Emily’s First 100 Days of School, The Cookie Tree, and How Do Dinosaurs go to School?

Need to practice some colours, numbers, shapes, and letters? Word World – A Strings’ a Thing/ J-J-Jelly, When Yellow met Blue, Friendshape, and Chicka Chicka 1-2-3 are also available on Kanopy Kids!

Visit Tumblebooks to find more stories about school. B. Bear & Lolly: Off to School, A Pocketful of Kisses, Boomer Goes to School, and many more are available with your membership card. Don’t have a card? Sign-up now for an online membership.

The Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) has some really great Kindergarten information including a short video called A Day in Kindergarten. All this great information is on their website.

The Waterloo Catholic District School Board (WCDSB) has a video outlining everything you need to know about starting Kindergarten.

We will be offering virtual programs this summer, including Kindergarten Concepts. Check out our full line-up of summer programs.

Hope to see you soon!
