Region of Waterloo Public Health – Novel Coronavirus – Updates on public health measures and guidelines specific to people in the Waterloo Region. Tracking of new positive COVID-19 cases in the Waterloo Region is updated each Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning.

Food Bank, Emergency Housing and Childcare – Region of Waterloo Public Health – Updates on community supports for facing COVID-19, including access to the Food Bank, emergency housing, washrooms, warming centres and emergency childcare for essential workers in the Waterloo Region.

Provincial Updates

Ontario Ministry of Health – COVID-19 - Updates on public measures and guidelines for the province of Ontario. This includes all news releases from the provincial government related to the virus and the most recent epidemiological information related to current cases in Ontario. Multilingual.

Ontario Government Projections for COVID-19 Spread in Ontario (CBC) - On April 3, the government of Ontario released projections for how the outbreak might evolve, including both best and worst-case scenarios for the province.

Ontario Government Announces Three-Phase Plan for Re-Opening Province (CBC) - On April 27, the government of Ontario released a three-phase plan for re-opening the province, with specific benchmarks to be met for each phase. No specific timelines or dates were given.

Ontario Government's Phase 3 Re-Opening Plan - On July 13th, the government of Ontario announced that the majority of the province would enter Phase 3 of re-opening the province. After a further decline in cases, all of Ontario entered Phase 3 re-opening. Gathering limits were imposed again on Sept. 19, 2020 after a spike in cases in some regions, with indoor events limited to 10 people and outdoor events limited to 25 people.

National Updates
