Use the Canon Canoscan 9000F High Speed Colour Scanner to convert your photographic slides and negatives to digital images. Scan photographs, 35mm film strips, 35mm mounted slides, or 120 format film. A USB Flash Drive or other storage device is required to save your digitized images.
The following is a step-by-step guide that will show you how to convert your photos to digital.
Start the Quick Menu shortcut from the desktop or open Canon IJ Scan Utility from Start Menu > Canon Utilities > IJ Scan Utility.

Insert your USB flash drive or other storage device into the computer.
Under Save Settings, select your storage device as the save location.
Adjust other settings as needed (eg. File name, resolution etc.)
Click OK when you are done
Turn the Scanner on. Open the lid and press down on the tab at the top to remove the white cover. This reveals the light source that allows for film scanning.
Place your film in the appropriate film adapter/guide. Film should be placed face down, so that it appears backwards. Place the adapter/guide on the scanner bed. Align the hole at the top of the adapter/guide with the recess along the top of the scanner bed. This secures the adapter/guide in place.
