  • Summer Reading at the Old Post Office

Natalie, OPO | July 1, 2019

This summer, we invite you to join us in the TD Summer Reading Club, Old Post Office style! Public libraries across Canada participate in the biggest summer program for children of all ages to celebrate stories, encourage literacy during the summer break, and enjoy the fun of reading. This year’s theme is the Natural World, where we will learn and explore through stories, adventure, and play at all Idea Exchange locations.

Our digital library, the Old Post Office, will help you trek through this wild summer adventure with unique STEAM activities. We have weekly prizes and amazing grand prizes to give out to lucky winners this summer.

Visit the Summer Reading Club desk at the Discovery Centre once a day to receive a stamp on your tracking card, and a ticket for the weekly prize draw. Get extra tickets by completing daily STEAM challenges. Once you complete three daily challenges, you can enter a ticket into the grand prize draw at the end of the summer.

We’ll let our curiosity lead us towards amazing discoveries. Visit us to see if you can build a catapult, melt an ice cube as fast as you can, draw yourself as a LEGO figure, and more! Are you up for the challenge? The more you play and discover, the better chance you’ll have of winning!
