Old Post Office [2]
Idea Exchange | May 22, 2018
The new technologies and gadgets will not be the only things to amaze us at the Old Post Office. The building’s restoration work is a testament to craftsmanship and artistry. With an $832,035 investment from Parks Canada announced in May 2017, refurbishment work was expanded on the 1885 stone structure. In addition to work already being completed on the roofing, ornamental metal work and stained-glass windows, these additional funds have allowed for the restoration of the original gables and chimney. It has also meant that the clock and bell could be restored to working order.
