This novel reimagines Alice in Wonderland as a horror story in which Alice and friends travel through a crime-ridden city hunting the world-devouring abomination known as the Jabberwock. This is a much more disturbing tale than the original topsy-turvy journey through Wonderland, but sharp-eyed readers will spot clever references to the source material. Weirdness and violence abound, so prepare yourself before you embark on this creepy trip. If you like the dark side, however, this may be just the Hallowe’en treat you were hoping for.
