
On Wednesday September 4, Cambridge Art Galleries | Idea Exchange and BRIDGE Centre for Architecture and Design will be hosting a Common Waters Symposium that brings together voices from multiple disciplines who all have a shared interest in water advocacy.
5:00 -6:00 PM: The event begins with four Master's students, Amal Dirie, Dani Kastelein-Longlade, Kobi Logendrarajah, and Logan Steele from the University of Waterloo School of Architecture program, who will share their current research and how it relates to the themes of Common Waters.
6:00- 6:30 PM: Enjoy some light refreshments and snacks from Monigrams.
6:30 - 7:30 PM: Artists and Activists Panel - Common Waters exhibiting artist's Rochelle Rubenstein and Justin Langille along with Save Our Water members, Donna McCaw and Jan Beveridge, will discuss the impacts and effects of water extraction in rural Ontario communities. Moderated by Landscape Architect and Professor from the University of Waterloo School of Architecture, Jane Hutton.
The Climate Action Waterloo Region Street Team will also be here throughout the event with resources, questions, and interactive activities. The Climate Action Waterloo Region is a collaboration between local organizations and community members focused on climate change mitigation.
