Learn sustainability skills and tips from a variety of local community partners.

  • 1:00 – 5:00pm: Sustainable Organization - Join Jigsaw Organizing Solutions for tips and hands-on examples to help you on your path to eco-organization and minimalism.
  • 1:00 – 5:00pm: Fermented Foods - Join local makers for an introduction to making fermented foods. Enjoy samples, see examples, and come prepared with questions on topics such as making kombucha, kefir, fermented vegetables, and sourdough bread.
  • 1:00 – 5:00pm: Paper Making - Give paper making a try and take home a sheet of homemade paper.
  • 1:00 – 5:00pm: Upcycled Gift Bags - Transform old clothing into a gift bag, complete with custom flower ribbon! All materials provided. No sewing experience necessary.
  • 1:00 – 5:00pm: Project Neutral in Waterloo Region brought to you by Reep Green Solutions - Find out your carbon footprint in just 5 minutes using your phone (or a library tablet). Then discover different ways to reduce it. 
  • 1:00 – 5:00pm: Vermicomposting - Worms are our friends! Learn all about how these wonderful wigglers can help you reduce waste and make your garden grow.
  • 1:00 - 5:00pm: KW Library of Things
  • 2:00 – 5:00pm: All IN 2020 - Join Lynn Macaulay, Executive Director of ALL IN 2020, to learn about how we are working to end chronic homelessness in our region and how you can be part of the solution by activating your inner housing hero.
