1:30 – 4:30 Upcycled soap pouches: Transform an old towel into an exfoliating soap pouch for your shower. All materials provided. No sewing experience necessary.
1:30 – 4:30 Project Neutral in Waterloo Region brought to you by Reep Green Solutions Find out your carbon footprint in just 5 minutes using your phone (or a library tablet). Then discover different ways to reduce it.
1:30 – 4:30 Upcycled Jewellery: Try your hand at taking apart old jewellery and transforming it into something new.
1:30 – 4:30 Paper making: Give paper making a try and take home a sheet of homemade paper.
1:30 - 4:30 Upcycling T-Shirts with All Things Preserved: Join the upcycling craze and come play with t-shirts! Have fun learning how to turn them into new items like dolls, jewelry and keychains. Enjoy taking part in a communal activity: creating a braided rug made from t-shirt yarn.
3:30 – 4:30 Fermented Foods Demo: Join local maker, Julie Graham, for an introduction to making fermented foods. Julie will share how to make kombucha, kefir and fermented vegetables at home. Enjoy samples and watch a hands-on demonstration of fermenting veggies.
