Description:

Dr. Joan Clayton is a Clinical Psychologist in Private Practice who came to writing at the age of 48. She now hosts a monthly Open Mic Poetry event, has had 8 plays produced and just completed her second World War II novel, La Maison Bleue, set in Quebec.

Dr. Clayton thinks of herself as a STORY TELLER, whether it's in the form of a poem, or on stage, and she is particularly drawn to the women of World War II, whose voices need to be heard. In her talk she will describe her own Writing Journey, and provide suggestions to the audience for opening up their own creativity.
