Description:

Celebrate your writing success with cake and refreshments.  We’ll hand out winning covers and a panel of experts will be on hand to offer advice for the next stages in your writing.  Our panel will discuss how to edit your work, how to get published and how to keep up your writing habit long after November.

Panelists

Mere Joyce writes short stories for all ages as well as longer works for young adults. Her YA Contemporary Blank Canvas was published by Evernight Teen in 2014, and her YA Hi-Lo Getting the Brush Off was recently released by Orca Book Publishers. Her upcoming (similarly named but completely unrelated) titles Shadow and Shade will be released in early 2018 by Orca Books and Seven Sisters Publishing, respectively.

Greg Rhyno’s debut novel To Me You Seem Giant is now available from NeWest Press. His writing has appeared in PRISM International, Rhapsody, The Walleye, and Riddle Fence. In addition, he has toured and recorded with such rock ’n’ roll outfits as the Parkas, Phasers on Stun, and Wild Hearses. His music has been licensed to television and film, including shows like Scrubs, Greek, and Dawson’s Creek. Currently, he is an MFA candidate at the University of Guelph. He lives with his family in Guelph, Ontario.
