Food Not Bombs
Each Saturday, Food Not Bombs picks up donated food from grocery stores, cooks fresh vegan meals, and serves these meals to the community for free!
Farm to Fork
Farm-to-Fork.ca is designed to connect emergency food providers and food donors; increasing the quality & quantity of food donated to those in need.
McQuesten Urban Farm
As part of an initiative to increase food security in the McQuesten area of Hamilton, we are developing a plan to create an urban farm in the green space behind the former St. Helens school. Not only will this farm address the issue of securing a nutritious and sustainable food source for the community, but it will also create a positive change in the community by providing an outlet for citizens of all ages, adding economic value to the community, and fostering strong bonds between residents in McQuesten.
Filled with a heart to serve the hungry, but challenged by the cost of the meal ingredients, feedfive was created with a sole mission: To provide wholesome meals to those who can't afford them. We accomplish this by selling our super soft t-shirts and matching every t-shirt sold with five full meals served to five hungry people. No complicated formulas, it's simple; you buy a t-shirt, we cook and serve five meals on your behalf.
Free admission, pay-what-you-can for soup.
