In this vibrant visit, Kallie will share with kids how she was inspired to become an author. Kallie will show kids some of the books she created in her childhood to the published series that she writes today. Kallie’s books include picture and chapter books, such as The Heartwood Hotel series and The Magical Animal Adoption Agency series. Kids will get a glimpse at her notebooks, crafts she has created for her stories, and inspiration she draws upon. This program is designed to empower and inspire kids of all ages to read and write their own stories.

Kallie George is an author, editor, and creative writing teacher living on the Sunshine Coast in B.C. She has written numerous acclaimed books for children, including Goodnight, Anne; Anne Arrives; Anne's Kindred Spirits; The Lost Gift; Secrets I Know; and Duck, Duck, Dinosaur, as well as the The Magical Animal Adoption Agency series and The Heartwood Hotel series. She has also taught writing workshops for children and adults across Canada, as well as in South Korea, and currently edits picture books with Greystone Kids.
