Recurring Events

Each year, for one evening in June, the Cambridge Mayor's Celebration of the Arts (CMCA) presents to the community a variety of works by Cambridge and Cambridge-connected artists. The exhibition focuses on juried works in the visual, literary and performance arts and, within these, a wide variety of styles and genres.

CMCA started over a decade ago as a small art display program hosted out of the School of Architecture facility. Since then, and since moving the location in 2008 to the new city hall (and the square and streets surrounding it), the event has grown both in the variety of arts and artists featured and through the addition of extra art-related elements.

Idea Exchange is proud to participate in the festival each year by coordinating the Youth Showcase Stage.
