This month, we’ve got lots of program to help you make the most of your summer. From learning local history to exploring your creativity, there’s so much to do! Read on for some July highlights, and check out the monthly calendar for a full listing of events.

Have you ever explored rare’s walking trails or planted in their community garden? The unique history of the area and beauty of the property inspired rare volunteer Bob Burtt to write about it. On Monday, July 8, join us for My Story: rare Moments in Time and learn about rare’s history from Bob himself. This program takes place at Preston from 7:00 – 8:00pm, no registration required.

Come and meet new people at Speed Friending! On Thursday, July 11 from 6:30 – 8:00pm at Clemens Mill, enjoy this opportunity to engage in friendly conversation with others. This is the perfect opportunity to make new friends and get to know others in the community. Registration is required.

Do you have what it takes to defeat Bowser? Take on the challenge with Super Mario Mission! This program takes place at Hespeler on Thursday, July 18 from 1:00 – 8:00pm, Friday, July 19 from 10:00am – 5:00pm, and Saturday, July 20 from 10:00am – 5:00pm. Test your skills in this Super Mario themed obstacle course by playing as Mario or Peach. You’ve got 45 minutes to complete the levels. GO! Registration is required.

Don’t let writer’s block get you down. Join us for Beat Your Creative Block on Thursday, July 18 from 6:30 – 8:00pm at Queen’s Square and we’ll share strategies to help get you through whatever artistic slump you’re facing. This workshop is for creators of all types and experience levels. Registration is required.

Kids aren’t the only ones who can have fun in programs. Our Adults Explore series is back with Cricut Pinwheel Flowers.  Check out the Old Post Office’s Makerspace and create your own colourful pinwheel using our Cricut Maker. This program takes place on Monday, July 29 from 10:00am – 12:00pm at the Old Post Office. No registration required.

We’re looking forward to seeing you in July at Idea Exchange!
