Enjoy and experience our programs virtually at Idea Exchange! Connect online with our staff and other members of the community, all from the comfort of your home. Read on for some highlights or check out our monthly calendar for the full list of programs we have planned.

Please note that all programs require registration and are delivered through Zoom.

Join us as we celebrate Person’s Day and continue to advocate for all the vibrant, vital contributions that women, two-spirit, and female identifying people bring to our communities with our Celebration of Women events: Women in Song on October 13, Rise to Thrive Seminar with Erin Moraghan on October 15, and An Evening with Alka Joshi on October 18. Dan Schmalz is back for Behind the Curtain of Local History: A Guided Tour of the City of Cambridge Archives. On Wednesday, October 21 from 10:30 – 11:30am, learn about the history of our community along with some of the thousands of resources available to the public. You’ll also get to see public photos, maps, and one of a kind historical documents – some that date back until the late 1700’s!

Calling all readers of YA fiction! The Royal Treatment: YA Author Panel Event is happening Thursday, October 22 at 7:00pm. With a royal twist, we’ll be discussing books written by YA authors C.J. Redwine, Nicki Pau Preto, and Aleksandra Ross. With battles, deception, and intrigue, there’s so much to love about books with epic royal-themed adventures.

National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is almost here! Get ready for a month of novel writing with our beginner-friendly writing workshop: Write That Novel! Learn about essential concepts such as outlining, conflict, characters, world-building, and more on Wednesday, October 28 from 7:00 – 8:30pm.

Join us for a spine-tingling night as we talk to award winning author Andrew Pyper. We will be discussing his newest book, The Residence, an eerie ghost story based on true events. A Thrilling Evening with Andrew Pyper is on Thursday, October 29 from 7:00 – 8:00pm. Just in time for Halloween!
