New eBooks

downloadLibrary by Overdrive

Download eBooks and audiobooks, and watch streaming video, on your computer, eReader, tablet, and many other mobile devices. All you need to get started is a valid library card, an internet connection & free software for your device.

downloadLibrary has released the new Libby App. See this video and guide for more information on using Libby.

NEW! Overdrive now has over 3000 magazines to borrow. Checkouts of magazines do not count against the 20 item limit.

At the end of the lending period, digital titles are returned automatically to the downloadLibrary collection. There are no overdue fines. You can have up to:

  • 20 titles at a time checked out
  • 15 titles at a time on hold. You will be notified by email when your hold is ready.

NEW: OverDrive has released a new feature called DELIVER LATER to give you more control over your OverDrive holds. This new option requires you to manually borrow your holds when they're available, including any current holds. The automatic hold checkout setting is no longer available with our OverDrive collection. Learn more about this new feature here.

  • If you have an older model Kobo eReader, you may no longer be able to transfer Overdrive eBooks to your device using Adobe Digital Editions (ADE). For details on this issue, visit the OverDrive ADE help page.
  • Due to upcoming macOS changes, OverDrive has ended support for OverDrive for Mac. Effective September 4, 2019, OverDrive for Mac will no longer be available for download and Mac users will no longer see the option to download audiobook titles on the OverDrive website. Instead, as a Mac user, you can enjoy audiobooks using OverDrive Listen from the downloadLibrary website, or try Libby on your smart phone or tablet. If you have already downloaded audiobooks to OverDrive for Mac, you will retain access to your downloads for the remainder of the lending period, provided you have not yet updated to macOS 10.15 (Catalina).
