Ken's passion for his bike "Bertha" is only surpassed by his passion for the Cambridge Libraries where he is often found sitting before a computer screen or chatting to the staff.
Over to you Ken:
"Welcome…to the 'misunderestimated' (yes, we can thank George W. for that one!) world of The Cambridge Public Libraries. Why misunderestimated you ask?
Because you will be AMAZED and pleasantly surprised with what can be found there. Fix your car? The library can help. Want to take out a great movie? The library has a huge collection of DVDs. Music? Check! They have that too.
Are you trying to find a repair manual for your car? Don’t plan on doing the work yourself! Check at the library – they have an extensive collection of both Haynes and Chilton manuals for most of your common vehicles – both cars and light trucks. Want to learn about exotic cars such as Ferrari, Porsche or Lamborghini? The library has many books on these and other makes. Or how about automotive fuel injection, turbocharging, A/C or aerodynamic design? Check! You will be amazed at what is at your library. And if they don’t have it, they can find it at another library.
Would you like to listen to some musicians? Before you spend your hard earned dollars, check out your library, they just may have what you’re looking for! I was quite impressed.
The long and the short of it is:
If you misunderestimate what the library has, or can get, then you’re NOT making the best use of your tax dollars!”
