I love a locked room mystery and Holt delivers in spades! The Norwegian crime sensation writes a claustrophobic, intriguing novel where the tension ratchets up as the body count rises. When their train crashes just before the snowstorm of the century, everyone is happy to invade a nearby lodge. They are stuck and cut off from any help so when the first body is found people turn to Hanne Wilhelmsen, a retired police officer. She’s also wheel-chair bound and quite prickly. Despite (or because of) her anti-social tendencies, she’s a fascinating character. I had to keep turning the pages to solve the mystery!

This is a great "locked room" mystery, where the passengers of a derailed train are forced to seek refuge in a snowbound hotel in Norway. When one of their number is murdered, it's up to retired investigator Hanne Wilhemsen to track down the killer. As the tension mounts, so does the snow ... and the body count.
