Kate Bush's Director's Cut is a re-working of songs from two mid-period albums: Red Shoes and The Sensual World. Sensual World has become "Flower of the Mountain", and "This Woman's Work" has been re-written as well. Bush's voice is deeper and richer than in the 80's, but her distinctiveness is still there. As for the rest of the material, Bush has taken the approach of adding through subtraction. Call it a re-mix if you like, but by re-recording earlier works, Bush show how maturity can alter the corpus of your life's work.
