I really enjoyed the freehand watercolour aesthetics of the creators of this animated film. An unlikely pairing of a questioning mouse and a grumpy and hungry busking bear (that's surely inspired by Tom Waits),has the makings of both a feel good movie and a beautiful piece of art.

Deep below snowy, cobblestone streets lives a civilization of hardworking mice, terrified of the bears who live above ground. Unlike her fellow mice, Celestine is an artist and a dreamer and when she nearly ends up as breakfast for bear Ernest, the two form an unlikely bond. Nominated for an Academy Award, this movie offers old-fashioned delights for animation lovers of all ages.
