This is an enthralling collection of fantasy short fiction. Whether you favour gothic horror, urban fantasy or something equally weird and wonderful (maybe featuring zombies in three-piece suits or alien tourists?), chances are, you'll find something here to spark your imagination. I'm particularly fond of the introductory story, A Study in Emerald, a Hugo Award-winning mash-up where Sherlock Holmes co-exists in a universe with HP Lovecraft-style Eldritch abominations. Another well-known story from this collection, How to Talk to Girls at Parties, is being adapted into a 2018 film version starring Nicole Kidman and Elle Fanning.
