Meryl Streep is amazing as she reveals the frailer side of Margaret Thatcher, Britain's first woman Prime Minister. The film traces Thatcher's life through flashbacks that include the Brighton IRA bombing and the Falklands War. It's hard to imagine Streep besting this difficult performance. As the lights go on again, and the raw reality of Thatcher's legacy remains, any attempt to see any other side of Margaret Thatcher besides the political seems irrelevant. Only the magic of Meryl Streep makes this temporarily possible.
