‘Little Fires Everywhere’ is turning up on a lot of “Best of 2017” lists - and for good reason. This riveting examination of race, class, and family in 1990’s suburban America is a masterpiece. The well-to-do Richardson family have a seemingly perfect life in the idyllic planned community of Shaker Heights, Ohio. This façade is upset when a mysterious artist and her daughter move to town and shake things up. Soon deep-seated prejudices are uncovered that threaten to divide the community – and the Richardson family itself.
