Margin call

I had no expectations that I would like this movie going in...I find films about the financial world marginally interesting at best. But this account of a Lehman Bros.-type firm at ground zero of the mortgage/financial meltdown is very well written and features great performances by Kevin Spacey and Jeremy Irons. My favourite device was how each time someone at the firm kicked the issue up the ladder to their superior, the first response was "Explain it to me in plain English", a symptom of the main problem both in the movie and in the real world events, that the only people that understood the instruments being traded were the nerdlings, not the big picture people.
