The Trotsky

A delightfully oddball, hilarious and heartfelt movie. Canadian Jay Baruchel (How to Train Your Dragon) plays Leon Bronstein, a seventeen year old boy who believes he is the reincarnation of Russian revolutionary Leon Trotsky. Believing his destiny will follow the same path, Leon searches for a revolution of his own. When he is sent to a new public school he finally finds the fascists he has been waiting for in the principal, Mr. Berkhoff and his second-in-command, Mrs. Davis. As Leon tries to unionize the student body, he finds out what it takes to stand up for what you believe in. This is a smart film, the acting is excellent, the script is witty and faced paced and you can’t help but root for Leon as he tries to live, or rather relive, his destiny. Pick up this movie, you won’t regret it!
