Maybe the most important little book I've read in a long time. Democracy is not a given and is something too many of us take for granted just because we have never known anything else. This book explains why "IT" could well happen here and what we should be doing to prevent it and to protect our freedom.

"History does not repeat, but it does instruct." This slim volume draws comparisons between tyrannical governments of the twentieth century and the current political situation in the United States, and offers twenty lessons about identifying and resisting tyranny in the modern day. A quick but chilling read.
